Advertising test - we want your feedback

Dear Cruisers,

we are starting a test to show 3rd party advertising on the CruiserCustomizing Community pages.
We believe that there are valuable 3rd party advertisers that you might find interesting and
relevant. We also would like to generate advertising revenues. This will allow us to hire
more dedicated staff to help build community features for you, create videos and other content
and run promotions and give away free prizes.

However, it is your community and we would like to hear back from you what you think about
the advertising test. Please comment below.
Also, if you find a specific advertiser not to be a good fit please post or email me the link.

  • Sorry about that last posting.  Trying to type and carry on a converation at the same time.  I think it is fine that CC create revenues for a very good web site.

  • Though I have been seeing the adds for months, for the first time today I clicked on the link "Why we show ads" and read about it.  I must admit, there has been many times I saw something advertised that I was interested in and clicked on the link for more information.  Sometimes it turns out that the add is for a product that I'm truly interested in and I add it to my personal separate list, (a word document program on my computer), aptly titled "Wish List Wanted for Purchase".  As time and finances allow, I order from items from this list.  A customizing job is never really done, and as my tastes change, so does my list ... adding some things and deleting others.


    I think offering suggestions to purchase is a GOOD thing ... for since I'm a member of this community and you offer very competitive prices, it only makes sense to purchase them from CC rather than some other source.


    My 2 Cents worth ... for whatever it's worth.  Cool

    I have always been of the opinion at work, if my boss makes money then he can pay me, so I make him more money so he can pay more, YOU DI WHAT WILL IMPROVE CC and the CCC
