Yesterday, my riding group had a big ride planned to the Cherohala Skyway.  Unfortunately it rained cats and dogs, and the ride was cancelled.  I brooded around all day thinking about the ride that I missed.

I awoke to a beautiful day today and decided to take the ride myself.  Before I could get out of the house, I got a call from some friends inviting me to join them on a North Georgia ride.  I accepted, and it was a blast.

We met and rode through the mountains.  The leaves still look great.  We stopped at an apple orchard and met a couple from Dahlonega (He was on a Goldwing and she was on a V-Star).  They offered to take us on one of their favorite rides so we let them lead.  They took us through the mountains and on a road that followed the Toccoa River.  It was stunning.  I will post some of the pictures.  After riding, we stopped and did one of our favorite things. We ATE!
