My Ride:
Yesterday was an amazing riding day for me here in northern California!
If left home in the dark and begain my ride to work. As I rode my way through the grape vineyards and almond trees, north centeral valley (just 80 miles from Yosemite Naitonal Park) the sun started peaking over the foothills of the sierras casting beautiful color into the sky.
Almost 50 miles later, as I neared work, I entered into the Livermore hills where I rode into some super thick and wet FOG. The ride was quiet and scerene.
My ride home last night was also in the dark and down single lane narrow, winding roads. I came across several animals including fox, deer, owl, and raccoon. The ride was great.

I ride to work every day, makes no difference to me if the day brings rain, hail, gale force winds or sunny weather lol. As I am a bit of a trouble shooter for the company I get to travel to various laocations.
My day usually starts around 5am and finisges around 7 - 8pm, so it is quite dark when I head off and return home, We have had a couple of mobs of roos move in onto the property so I have to keep an eye out for them as they can be very unpredictable. Am a tad wary of them as one of the big boomers cleaned me up around feb this year and did about $8000 damage to the bike. Usually see plenty of rabbits and the odd fox around that time too.
Weather today was magnificent, clear skys, little wind and a warm 22 degrees, so perfect for riding, even though when I leave in the mornings it is still a tad cold lol.
Daughter was involved in a motor vehicle accident this arvo so not a great end to the day. Still I love my rides on a daily basis even though it is mainly just to and from work.
Hope you have a great rest of the week and thanks for the comment on my Intro Video.
Take care and I look forward to catching up with you in Mildura next year.

I did ride this week every chance i got. I too saw deer and cats and an opposum. Like to clipped him but missed. Life is full of thrills but riding is the best. My time alone on the cruizer is the best. It is really and truly therapy for the mind. It doesn't matter what road or how many times I've traveled it, I still love riding.
simmbad, 5 months ago | FlagLiving in this part of California is great, Year round riding, this week was great. It has been cool in the morning aound 50, Monday we got a little rain
in the morning, I even saw a double rainbow.
It rained the 50 mile trip home, I loved it. Cant wait to take the drirt bike out and get muddy. The rest of the week it has been clear with patchs of fog, and afternoon temp around 75.
Here are some videos I did of the roads I take to and from work, earlyer this year.
Robin001, 5 months ago | FlagWell after our little Skpe session yesterday morning (Friday 23 Oct) I gave the bike a quick polish and set off for the day. What a beautiful moring. No country riding however.
I visited my former manager on the other side of Adelaide who recently retired and had been cruising arounf Europe. Had a look through his photos and video then set off again.
Next stop was a visit to a custom sheep skin seat cover manufacturer. Had the bike seat measured up for a custom cover to keep the Boss happy.
Next stop the Caven Hotel. This is a regular meeting place for bikers and bike clubs heading out for rides north of Adelaide. Not to mentionthey have the best steak sandwiches in Adelaide.
I met up with Ray Trewin - Shadow2357 here. Another CC Community member. Ray is coming on the innaugural CC River Run with us next April and it was good to put a face to yet another member.
From here it was a short ride to another mate's place, also a CC Community member - Dougie59 - who had just received his chrome Kuryakin levers from CC. He received them in less than 10 days and was very pleased with the service.
After a few coffees It was time to set off to meet up with Dr. Phil Cole. Although I talk with Phil regularly on SKYPE, this was only our second meeting.
Phil was actually on time at the desiginated meeting place but as was expected was almost out of petrol and needed to get cash out off the hole in the wall (ATM machine).
I must say Phil looked very elegent in his new helmet he had received that day from CC. Another satified customer.
Phil followed me to the Vietnam Veterans MC club rooms where we enjoyed a couple of light beers and talk about of all things - motorbikes.
Unfortunately, Phil now has all of the VVMC on his bloody red pills. Although he did prescribe the green ones for Curly, our only member who did two tours of Vietnam. Phil believed Curly needed something stronger for having to put up with me. Not nice Phil.
Not long after Phil set off from home I too set off. I was a beautiful night. No need of a jacket and although the clubrooms are only 20 minutes from my place it took me two hours to get home.
Left home at 8am and arrived hom at 11pm. A long but enjoyable day.
