  • Don't cry, Hatter39! My first bike (purchased used in 2008) was a 1990 Virago XV535. My "starter bike"... and I LOVED it!! I put more miles on it in one year than the poor old girl had on when I bought her... and got my new Sporty this past March.

Kyle Bradshaw here with this Economy Chrome Package Tip of the Week! 

There are four parts that most metric cruiser riders purchase not too long after acquiring their bikes. These four parts are 

  1. Horn Covers
  2. Fuel Shut Off Knobs
  3. Fuel Shut Off Plate Covers
  4. Driveshaft Covers
In the open market these parts together cost  somewhere between $50 and $150.

Today I will show you a line of parts which will allow you to chrome these four areas for less than $50! 

It's called Metric Gear!

Horn Cover - 3-12 inch round horns (METRIC-2301) 
Beautiful chrome plated ABS plastic horn cover snaps right onto all 3 round horns.

Slotted Horn Cover - V-Star Kawasaki Vulcan (METRIC-2302) 
Dress up that ugly black horn with this chrome plated ABS plastic horn cover.Install is a snap: it snaps right onto your 3-14 round horn.

Chrome Fuel Shutoff Knob (METRIC-2401) 
Replace that ugly black knob with a chrome knob easy installation.

Fuel Shut Off Valve Plate Cover (METRIC-2402) 
This Show Chrome stamped steel cover easily attaches over the fuel shut off valve assembly. Its custom depth not only covers the front of the valve but beautifies the valve sides. Attaches easily with double sided tape.

Drive Shaft Cover - ShadowsVTX (METRIC-2405) 
This new stamped steel chrome piece installs over the Honda black drive shaft for a beautiful chrome finished look. Easily and securely mounts with double sided tape.
