How to know when it is over

OK, so this is where I am at, on Friday I was told that my Boss had let go the receptionist, making me the last employee, so now I get to do all the receptionist jobs as well as all of mine.

The sad part is no one is saying anything, so I think the end is much closer for me also. This will be the 3rd job I have been laid off from in less then a 18 months.

So do I start looking another job? Stay here until it is over? Take up drinking? Plan a ride?

Personally I am going to wait it out, maybe I am wrong or mayby I am not, eather way I will not jump ship until I have to get back into the water. All I do know is that I can get unemployment if the company closes and that will give me some time to figure out the next move.

I know one thing for sure, I am going for a long ride and see my familly. Heather and I will put the trailer behind the Sidecar and hit the road...

Keep your eye out for us...we might just be coming your way soon....

I will post updates as I get them.....

Update....July 17th

Well I am still working. At the end of June my boss hired one of his friends to work sales on comisstion only for the month of July, On July 16th the sales man quite, after just 2 weeks of low sales, he made about $200.00, So its back to just me.

The really sad part of all this, is I am the only one coming to work every day, my boss dont even come in most of the time.

I sure hope it gets better soon!

  • Goodluck simmbad. I would be asking the boss (and assessing his response for truthfullness) but I would be looking for a backstop job. Hope all goes well for you whichever way you go.

  • That puts a bit of strain on the brain!  I like your positive attitude though.  Ferg is right though, maybe you should ask the boss point blank and that way you will know what direction to go( be it on the bike or in the job category)! Good luck to you!
