Went into the garage the other day and found some Armor All wipes. Looked over to the bike and thought these would work great on the seat
. Used 3 or 4 wipes on the seat. Looks great, I thought. Didn't realize my mistake until my next ride. Felt like I was on an amusement ride just trying to keep my butt on the seat
...haha! Haven't heard this mistake mentioned before. Either I'm the only dumba$$ or just not smart enough to keep quiet about it
. After a few good washes, seat is good-to-go. Lesson learned.

mjbearit, 6 months ago | FlagAnd when I started reading I was afraid you were gonna say you wiped your tires. Okay, you only did the second most dumba$$ed thing! Don't feel bad! Lesson learned and no huge price to pay. I hope you have thrown away the wipes! In all honesty they are good for nothing at all! They will make things look good but will cause a host of problems including the premature cracking and disentegration of man made materials and the total destruction of natural ones! When my youngest son was about 2 years old, he got into the fridge when I wasn't looking. He opened the gallon of milk and proceeded to pour it on the tile floor. He slipped and fell on his diaper covered butt. I heard him crying, went running into the kitchen and hit the milk. The resulting hydroplane taught me a lot about slick surfaces and things on them that are never dry. I landed.... eventually (a wall was involved) and my butt was not protected by a diaper. It was a painful lesson that I still remember and apply regularly!
Ride safe
Mike
mcornelsen, 6 months ago | FlagDid the same in '89 with a CBR750. What I got to show for it; an upper nasal cavity bone that has grown improperly
above my left eye leaving me with a small bone "horn" (Look closely at Me and My Scoot), a six inch scar in my gut, a lot few things I can remember, and a huge hospital bill... By the way, Thank you Bell Helmets - You did save my life
Stuff should come with a warning "Not for use on powersport
vehicles.. ."
