Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel was an American motorcycle
mcornelsen, 6 months ago | FlagOf course, like most of us I remember the Snake River and Ceasar Palace. But, I also remember the firm yet low key tone of his voice in the interviews
he did. I remember the resolution of his gaze when he was on TV. To say he was a coomon man would diminish him, but; yet he was a common man - who did uncommon things. I agree with Vulcman200 7 - he did LIVE!
Hiwayprisoner, 6 months ago | FlagThis guy was cool to me when I really didn't know what "cool" was. You're right Simm, it's hard to see someone you looked up to as a kid like this and like alot of guys had the action figure and jumping bike that I ran for years.
vulcman2007, 6 months ago | FlagI remember watching the Snake River canyon jump on TV as a kid. The Fountain at Ceasars in Vegas. I remember being scared that he was dead during both those jumps. He was one of the few Heros I had as a kid. Made Mom/Dad buy me all the Evel Knievel toys too.
Everyone Dies, not Everyone LIVES! Boy oh boy, did he live!
Love ya Evel
