I was at a bike show the other day and saw a few entrants applying various tire shine products onto their tires. I asked them if they were concerned about their safety with slick tires. Some said they do it all the time and that it dries up after a few miles. Others said that it's only a worry if it gets on the tread. Hmmm...I guess they don't lean into their turns!
