I am the lucky winner for the June video...
The 22 is for my children, both of them (not 22). During one season, my daughter played basketball and my son was in baseball and both had the number 22.
I took the Motorcycle Safety Course back in 2005 and purchased my first bike, a 2006 Vulcan 1600 Nomad, after renting bikes for a year. After joinng Cruiser Customizing, and watching the TOTW by Manybikes and the tips others posted online, I started adding some customization to my bike.
It took me awhile, but added Vance and Hines Dual Baggers, Power Commander, and Baron Air Kit to give the sound and the boost of speed I wanted. For comfort, I changed out my stock seat for one that includes gel. For the longer rides, the BreakAway Cruise Control along with 4" risers for my handlebars. Then to allow me to stretch out, highway pegs.
I'm enjoy the rides I take around the Houston area and have attended the Lone Star Rally in Galveston (4 times) and the ROT (Republic of Texas) Rally in Austin (4 times).
It is summer here in the Houston area and it is HOT. Last summer, I took time to add some of the extras to my bike. This summer I did take the windshield off to helpl keep things cooler, but now the bugs get in the way.
The Cruiser Customizing Community has been afforded me the opportunity to share my rides and experieces. It also has allowed my to glean knowledge from more experienced riders.
It's only rock n roll, but I like it!
