Woody and I got out on the bikes yesterday for...
I am a work in progress as I like to refer to myself. My husband taught me to ride 2 summers ago after we came back from Americade and I saw all the women who rode their own. He got me the Vulcan 500 to start and I spent alot of time in parking lots with her. I retook the MSF and passed in August and got my brand new candy apple red Vulcan 900 which I love. I have now have over 2000 miles on her already. I love having my own bike and am doing some solo work as well as riding with Woody. I realy enjoy the freedom that you feel and I love the cool air, esp at this time in my life! It is so hard to explain to people who do not ride what the feeling is like, you just need to get on a bike I guess and see for yourself!
I am now buying bling for the bike and we fight over who gets more bling for their bike. Since he has 30 years riding on me, I think my turn is now. Besides any more chrome on the Nomad and we will not be able to lift her. I had some artwork done her at Americade this past summer and am saving my pennies for my pipes.
We both love riding and racked up 10,000 miles on the Nomad the first year we had her. Friday night is "date"night and I ride with him. He likes me up there in the passenger seat, besides, I then get to drink some wine.
We have been to Lake George 4 times, Pittsburgh to see my daughter, The outer Banks of North Carolina, Newport Rhode Island and the Jersey shore for weekend trips not to mention the hundreds of , wow its Friday, let's go for a ride rides!
I have 4 kids,, all of them out of the nest. Twin girls, one of them a officer in the Navy and one a lawyer, both married. Other daughter is a teacher and my son is a second Lt in the Army. Woody has 2 sons and a daughter , all back in AUS. His sons are married and there is a first grandson.
Some dreams, ride all out west, do every bike rally we can, go to Australia and ride! Plus win the lottery,, did I mention that!?
