Since moving to New Mexico from South Carolina, I have come to love the rides in the mountains up north and the wide open spaces around Albuquerque. Took a four day ride into Colorado in June, 2008, and it was one of the best I've ever experienced, I spent thirty years living and riding in Northern California and the riding here is every bit as cool. I loved the rides in the Appalacians, too (rode the length of the Blue Ridge Parkway in 2006). Always looking for new riding partners and new destinations. I recently up-graded to a 2010 Victory Cross Country and I have to say that it is the nicest bike I've ever owned. It was Gloss Black when I bought it but I had Danny Bally, of Rio Rancho, NM, paint it in Desert Southwest colors. Took an eleven day ride to the SF Bay Area and back in August of 2010. Great ride across Utah, and Northern Nevada. US 50 is a terrific road and I highly recommend it. Drop me a line any time you're interested in exploring more of this area. Keep the rubber on the road and the metal in the wind!
UPDATE: After working in Afghanistan for a year and a half, I am back home. Took a month off last Spring and rode to Charleston, SC, and back. Saw a lot of friends and relatives along the way and visited a lot of great tourist attraction. Anyone near Leeds, AL, has to stop in to visit the Barber Motorsports Museum. 600 restored vintage motorcycles on display! Also, the Naval Aviation Museum, in Pensacola. The Victory is a great bike. Try one and you'll never ride anything else!
