Wow! I can't believe its been 2 years...
I'm a relatively new motorcyclist. Started in 2007, when after admiring all the bikes traveling the roads in the Carolinas, I then decided to "feel the wind". I first took a course of instruction with a local Technical College. Next I purchased a Honda Rebel 250 to acclimate to the ways of a two-wheeler. After about six months, lots of real road learning experiences, and getting laughed at by the zippers (Speed bikes), I then took the DMV road test. I aced it! One month later, I purchased my now commuter bike, a Suzuki twin-V, 850 or Boulevard. I am thrilled with my bike, have already done my own services, oil change and lube. Looking forward to learning more as "every road experienced, IS a new experience". I usually ride alone but would welcome other "law-abiding" bikers.
Since my last entry, I have had fun riding the roads of S.Carolina. There are many challenges due to the transient weather conditions and somewhat "challenged" 4 wheeler drivers. However like elsewhere, its a learning experience, "every day"! I have done some light modifications for enhanced safety on my bike. I have even added that sissy bar, a Cobra model, which really looks good. Isn't this what us bikers wish...... to look good? Anyways would welcome any additional tips as I am always brainstorming. Thanks and ride safe.... always!
