UH OH!!!! It happened! We have gone to the "DARK SIDE"! I had absolutely no intention of getting a different bike. I just "happened" to be in a motorcycle store getting a part for my V-Star and of course I had to look at what was on the showroom floor. Now....I used to joke about Harley riders but I saw this Dyna Low Rider and thought it was sure a beautiful bike! Naturally, I had to go sit on it. WOW!! It felt good! O.K...enough of that I thought. I was getting ready to leave and the salesman asked if I would like to take it for a ride. I didn't have anything pressing to do and it DID feel nice, so I thought why not. OH MY GOSH!! I had never ridden a more comfortable bike in my 40 plus years of riding! After that ride, there was no way I was leaving the dealership without that motorcycle! We agreed on a price and now I don't know if I will ever go back to metric. If you've never been on a Harley Davidson you owe it to yourself to at least look and see for yourself how comfortable they are. Who knows....you might wind up on the "DARK SIDE" too.
Hello, My name is Mark. My wife Julie teaches art 45 minutes away from home. A year ago when gas was so high the commute was killing us! She suggested a motorcycle! Now this blew me away because I grew up riding motorcycles that got bigger as I got older. (I sold my Honda 750 Custom a few years back because she had little interest in riding). At first I thought she was kidding and told her "Sure, that would last a week!". A few days later she asked if I had found her a bike yet? She didn't have to ask again!! We found her a Yamaha 650 Classic that we both liked the weight and feel of. After taking the Motorcycle Instruction Course that I insisted she take, I had to use a crowbar to get her off the bike! Then she said "You know, we could take our vacation on the bike too". Now I don't know if you've ever ridden any distance on the passenger seat of that bike or not, but trust me, DON'T!! I now also have the same model bike. We've taken day trips when it doesn't snow here in Denver CO and are very much looking forward to our vacation this summer on our Classics.
Well, we went and did it! One week before our road trip vacation to Sturgis SD. We both found our dream bikes. Yamaha V-Star 1100's. Had just enough time to give them the once over for safety, load them up and hit the road! They ran beautifully! With some of the winds reaching 60 MPH in Wyoming, the heavier bikes were sure a blessing! We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and are ready to do it again.
