Early 50's going on 35. Retired USAF Air Traffic Controller. I retired from the USAF in 1994. I have been stationed at the following bases: Lackland AFB Texas - Basic training. Keesler AFB Mississippi - Air Traffic Control School. Carswell AFB Texas - Control Tower Operator. Back to Keesler AFB - Air Training Command Master Instructor. Sondrestrom AB Greenland - Control Tower/Non-Radar Shift Supervisor. Plattsburgh AFB New York - Control Tower/Radar Final Control Shift Supervisor. For a couple of years after retiring from the USAF I owned a business in Plattsburgh NY called "Native Designs". Business was good but I had to work mall hours 7 days a week, 360 days a year, plus craft shows, fairs, special events. The business started to fail because I got burned out and couldn't deal with business and personal problems. I went to work for "FootAction", selling shoes after I closed my store. It was OK but problems got worse. The marriage failed, but I have some awesome kids who I miss so much. Well I ended up taking a job with FootAction in Washington state. I was promised a manager's position as part of the transfer. As my luck was going at the time........FootAction went bankrupt! My next job was with Fred Meyer for 5 years as the shoe department manager. Fred Meyer is a Northwest department store chain that's part of the Kroger empire. I was recruited by Brown Shoe company to work for them at Factory Brand Shoes, well the temporary manager was NOT a nice person so I was ready to move on. I was very lucky to find a job as a Surveillance Operator at a Native American Casino where I have been for the past 3 years. I love the job! We have to know the table games almost as well as the dealers. Lots of concentration, math, and paying attention to "JDLR" (Just Doesn't Look Right) You would NOT believe the stuff we see!! It's actually a very good job, I work with some super people, although somewhat disturbed...mentally. The pay and benefits are outstanding. I am divorced but I live with my Landlord, and have been since 1999. The wedding is planned for July 11th....2030, we are not in a hurry.
