I've received a couple of emails since my...
My name is Peter Vardos. I am a 58 year old career civil servant and I live in Canberra, Australia's capital. I got my bike licence when I was 18 but my father bought me a car (in My Photos) at the same time to get me off bikes. I maintained my bike licence and managed the occasional ride on OP bikes (that is, Other People's!). In 2005 I got back into riding on a Kawasaki VN 800. A year later I bought a 2006 Kawasaki Mean Streak 1600. The Meanie was sold to make way for a Harley Davidson CVO Fat Bob 110 in March 2011. I also have a 2008 Triumph Speed Triple 1050 which I have blinged with an aftermarket performance exhaust and carbon fibre. I also bought a 1972 Honda CB 750/4 K2 done up for historic racing. I bought it with the intention of turning it into a road going Cafe Racer but am now going in a different direction .... sadly, have very little time to take on a project like that!
UPDATE: 7 JANUARY 2012: Said goodbye to the Honda today - along with three boxes of assorted spare parts, two engine carcases and a race fairing. So much extra space in the garage... guess I'll have to fill the space with another bike!!
