Okay, here is where I tell a little something about me and my first motorcycle (keep in mind I'm not sure what exactly to write).
I'm 42 years old and a simple guy (maybe excentric in some ways). Married with no kids but have 3 awesome dogs that I treat like my kids.
Several years ago my hobby became my business. It's not big but it allows me to be creative and spend more time at home. I do custom leatherwork (costume design and prop making) for the film and movie industry. I do some small shows during the year too such as Renaissance Faires and Conventions. My MySpace page: www.myspace.com/knightscrossleatherworks has my latest work and paints a picture of what I specialize in. Take a look and enjoy. I plan on getting into the motorcycle scene with my leatherwork so some designs are in the works like tool pouches, saddlebag modifications, motorcycle themed buckles and conchos for vests and belts. I guarantee my work - usually improving the existing item.
For many years I have always wanted to get a motorcycle and not quite liked what was out there. I thought (based on my height) that I would have to settle for a smaller bike (such as a Honda Rebel or V-Star 250). But I spotted the Honda Shadow Phantom in 2010 and found my bike! A 750cc sounded and looked big (at least on the website or pics) but when I got to the dealership that all changed. As you can see I got the bike and named her Selene.
Fot my first bike, I'm keeping a small journal of my motorcycle trips and miles. One big trip I plan on doing is Laughlin, Nevada!
I chose the Iron Cross theme for my bike while keeping it simple and not complicated (clean and basic accessories with not much bling). I see a lot of chrome accessories but not too much black ones - maybe this will change soon as I see the black treatment becoming more popular than ever but not too popular so that every bike out there is like mine. Take a look at my pics and give me your comments. Cheers!
