Curious to know  if  any  of  the  members here  have replaced  their drive pulleys on their 900's?

I  have  been  considering doing  the  swap with the  replacements  available thru Scoot Works, anyone  have  any  experience with  this?

Yep, I run a Scootworks front pulley on my VN900 Classic. I've had it on for the past 7k mile, or so. I can't imagine ever running this bike without it, again. I run a Metz 200 rear tire, as well.

I've read posts on other sites that say you can't run a 200 tire along with the larger pulley. All I can tell you is, I do and I haven't had any problems. My guess is: the folks that say it can't be done, never tried.

Install was easy. But the cast aluminum casing over the pulley is a pain to remove. Manufacturer torqued them so tight that the heads seated onto the aluminum. I had to drill the head off of one of the bolts, then the bolt unscrewed by hand. Remember to remove the belt guide/guard from the inside of the casing before reattaching the casing, bigger pulley needs more space.

    Hope that helps!
