I rode a very small bike (175cc) in my youth for a few years. Got married. Got responsible. Biking fell by the wayside. When I turned 64 years of age, I started thinking about bikes again and told my children, who by the way had never seen me on a bike, that when I turn 65 I am going to buy a bike. They just laughed at me. Well I had the last laugh for when I turned 65 in the spring of 2007 I bought a 2006 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Silverado. I don't ride as much as some of you other biker dudes, but as I put it away for the winter I had put 7800 KMS on it. I have not made any long trips yet. But there is one lingering in my head.
Ride safe and may the joy of ride last forever.
