About Me

As a kid I grew up watching my friends ride their mini-bikes, motorcycles, three-wheelers (Honda ATC's, no four-wheelers then).  So it should be no surprise when I was in my late 20's and my friends starting buying motorcycles, I was not going to be left out again.  I bought my first bike in '94.  It was an '81 Yamaha Maxim XJ650S.  Not the best bike to learn on (heavy/bulky) but it was mine, it ran and it was just as big as the other guys.  Didn't ride alot though because of work.  Only logged about 2,000 miles the next two years.  Got married in '96 and rode even less (imagine that).  We found out we were having twins in '99 and there goes the bike, the jeep, hunting, everything that reminded me that I wasn't quite an adult yet and in came reality.  I never gave up my license though in hopes that one day I would ride again.  In 2008 I finally found that reason to ride.  GAS PRICES!  Easy sell to the wife; you know, economics and stuff.  I bought a '04 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100.  Mostly stock(for now).  I've got alot I'd like to do to it but, you know, economics and stuff.  I'll be posting a picture soon.  Until then, take your kids for a ride and be safe.
