Used to ride in the 70's but never had my own bike.  Rode a Kawasaki 650 which was a great bike, several dirt bikes and even a mini bike that was a blast in the dirt.  In those days never had a license and rarely wore a helmet.  Anyway, always missed riding  and missed not having my own bike.  My wife with a major assist from the kids got me Kawai 500 for my birthday one year after we both took the MSF class.  Perfect first bike to get back into it and from there I got a 900 Classic which I loved.  Now I have a 1600 which helped me quickly get over my love for the 900!  What a beauty it is.....(in my eyes)  I've never done anything more than an overnighter but love going with a couple different groups i know for long day rides.  Hoping to go on much longer trips next year.  Zion, Grand Canyon, Mounments National Park and rides to Oregon and Washington are all on my list.  Any other suggestions?!?!?
