THE OLE SABRE
The Shadow Sabre is not my first bike but it is my first New Bike. I will have had the bike a year on May 12 2009. When I picked up the bike it had a whopping two tenth of a mile on the odometer. Todays date is April 25 2009, and the odometer now shows 10,945.6 miles. I guess one could say I buy bikes to ride them. I am not into letting them sit and gather dust. :)
A little about me. I have a weird sense of humor and I am married, three kids, and one brand new grand daughter (1st one). Retired U.S. Army Signal Corps NCO. Other things that keep me occupied include Ham Radio, electronics, boating, and keeping my tail planted in the saddle of the Sabre as much as possible while living in Southwest Ohio.
About the bike. 2007 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 C2 model. All maintenance is up to date. Oil used is Amsol 10-40. Acessories installed since the bike rolled off the show room floor include the following and the list keep growing by the week.
Mustang Classic Seat (Stock seat sucked), Cobra Light bar, floorboards, short sissy bar, luggage rack, highway bar (back in the day we called them Crash Bars am I telling my age?),highway bar pegs, National Cycle 21" windshield with quick disconnects, Honda Tank Bib with pouch, Leatherman Saddle Bags, and X-Large Sissy Bar Bag,ISO Grips, Throttle Boss, Brake and Shifter Pedal covers, New matching Avon Venom Tires.
Today, I finally broke down and ordered an aftermarket exhaust system. I decided to go with the Roadhouse Classic system with Slash cuts. I will give a full report on the pipes once they are installed.
Feel Free to contact me anytime.
