hey there, my name is jon. my wife and i live in brooklyn park,mn.   we both took the motorcycle saftey class in the fall of 08 and recieved our l's.  we bought her a 650 vstar from a girl i knew who moved to d.c. and had to sell her bike.  its a 00 with 13k with bags and windshield.  it didnt run as the girl left it for 4 years with out doing anything to it.  cleaned the carbs 4 times and got the rust out of the tank and now she runs like a dream.  spring 09 i bought a 03 1100 vstar with 6k with bags and windshield. i love the floor boards way better then my wifes pegs.  so am new to the bike world as i grew up on snowmobile and atv's.  so far i have bought: chrome license plate braket and chrome bolts. chrome tips for the front and rear fender. horn cover. i would like to paint the bike or at least pin stripe it.  it is all black and i really love the bikes i see with color. i hope to learn from all the people that have rode for many years.
