Howdy to all of my fellow cruisers... :)
I'm sad to say that Fall and Winter have set in in Tehachapi, California and it's been below freezing each morning when I leave for work. I'd like to say that I gear up and take on the cold, but those heated seats in my Suburban call my name. So, alas, the C50 sits in the garage, waiting for me...looking at me with those puppy eyes hahaha... I did get the WarmNSafe heated gear and it's amazing! I rode to a Blues Festival the other weekend and it was 32 when I got home (and misty--cold!) but I was just fine...even had my 1/2 helmet on with my hot pink Schampa skull bandana thing over my face...so I know that I can gear up and be warm...I just need to get up a little earlier to do it.
Anyway--I did purchase that Ultimate Seat and it's awesome! I can ride all day long and be comfortable. If you are looking for a change from the stock seat to another, consider Ultimate. Looks slick, too.
Anyway, for those of you who haven't met me (virtually or otherwise), my name is Kristin and I started riding in July of 2009. Past people in my life had always made me feel as if riding on my own was an unattainable goal (too hard, too challenging, only men can ride, blah, blah, blah!) and I bought it...until one day I realized that all of that was a bunch of hooey and I went out and got my license (go, M1!) and the same week bought my bike, a 2007 Suzuki C50. Since then I've put on over 5000 miles and counting :)
I really love the motorcycle, the experience, and the freedom that comes with the package. I hope that I can encourage others to ride (women especially)...
Well, I'd better get going. I have to take those extra minutes to gear up! Yes, it might be 30 outside, but I'm RIDING to work this morning!
Have a great day,
Kristin
