12 Volt Accessory Power Tip of the Week from Cruiser Customizing by Manybikes Comments

  • I actually got a cigarette lighter adapter from walmart meant to hook into a 4 wire flat trailer connector. It hooks right into the battery tender connector on the bike and has about a 3 foot extension. I use it to recharge my phone by throwing it all into the saddlebag. And the great thing is that it was real cheep.

  • The power lead they provide is a battery tender connector. See the photo - in the  center you see the batter terminal rings on one end... a fuse... and the batter tender connector.  Hope this helps!

  • Kyle,

Your video states that the Kuryakyn 1423 comes with a "battery tender" cable now. I didn't see it on Kuryakyn's website, so I emailed them. Kasey (tech) responded that he is not aware of a "battery tender" cable with this unit. Help ???? !!!!

  • Hi Kyle,  You made reference to a radar detector in the video.  Sadly, They are illegal in Australia and the cops redar units can detect if you are using one.  Like the video, very informative as usual.  Thanks.

  • Great tip again Kyle.  Those are some really nicely finished power ports. Functionality and good looks, what more can you ask for?
