    Do all of you find the peace of sweeping gently through curves and floating down the straight away as rewarding as I do? I found motorcycles in the 60's.  My first ride as a passenger was on the back of my cousins' Honda 450 Hawk. I knew that I would own a bike one day. Four Yamahas, one Honda and a BWM later, I purchased my V Star 1100. I instantly relax just sitting in the saddle. It fits me well and feels like a friend after one year together. I don't ride fast... I cruise. The fast bikes were my youth. I am older, wiser and more content now just to experience the sensations of riding. No radio or cell phone. Just the wind in my face and my thoughts.  Well, there is also the necessary vigilance that goes with riding, but it's a peaceful awareness. Your bike is like your life. Enjoy the ride, you reach the end soon enough.

    I promised Kyle send him the Creme brulee recipe because he took mine at the Restaurant LOL

     

    

                                                            mmmmmmmm !! Look the caramelized sugar on the top !

     

    Ingredients for 6 servings :

    6 egg yolks

    100g sugar

    40 cl heavy cream

    25 cl milk

    90g brown sugar ( to caramelize the top )

    Vanilla extract

     

    First !

    Put the sugar into the egg yolks

    

     

    Beat until smooth

    

     

    Add heavy cream and the milk. Mixt the whole

    

    

             ... OKAY

    Now, you can add the vanilla extract

    

     

    Put the mixture into 6 ramekins, preheat the oven and place in to 212°F ( 100°C ) for about 30 mn

    

     

    Then, allow to cool the room temperature before refrigerate ( about 4 h ).

    When you're ready to serve, put about a teaspoon of brown sugar on the top, and caramelise with a cooking torch or an iron 

    Leave to cool for a couple of minutes, and then, ENJOY !

    My "average is 3.5 years... but most have been with me 5+ years! Take a look... 

    1979 Honda CX500 Grandpa bought new - passed to dad in 1987 -- I got it in 1992 and sold it in 1998 (me 6 years)

    1988 Honda VT1100C bought in 2000 w/23k miles - sold in 2004 w/ 89k miles (4 years)

    2003 VTX 1300R - Still have in Garage w/ 35k miles (6 years)

    2002 Suzuki DRZ400 - (bought in 2003) Still in Garage w/ 12k miles (6 years)

    They have kept some of the bikes but I don't think all.  They have this huge show room and shop and if you've watched the program you had to see it.  Has a huge OCC across the front in etched glass.  I'm planning a trip up there this summer to check it out, a little over 450 miles one way.  Hope they stay open that long as it sounds like business insn't that good. 

    There theme bikes are high dollar but the bikes they manufacture for the public are more cost friendly plus

    Wiley College is a four-year, private, historically black, liberal arts college located on the west side of Marshall, Texas. Founded in 1873 by the Methodist Episcopal Church's Bishop Isaac Wiley and certified in 1882 by the Freedman's Aid Society, it is notable as one of the oldest predominantly black colleges west of the Mississippi River.

    The original college library was a Carnegie Library. In 1907 Wiley received the first Carnegie college library west of the Mississippi. The building is now the business office.

    In 2005-2006, on-campus enrollment approached 450, while an off-campus program in Shreveport, Louisiana, for students with some prior college credits who seek to finish a degree, was about 250. As of Fall 2006, total enrollment was about 750. Wiley is an open admissions college and about 96 percent of students receive some amount of financial aid.

    The success of the 1935 Wiley College debate team, coached by professor and poet Melvin Tolson, was the subject of the 2007 movie The Great Debaters, directed by and starring Denzel Washington. In 1935, the Wiley College debate team defeated the reigning national debate champions, the University of Southern California. In 2007, Denzel Washington announced a donation of $1 million USD to Wiley so the team could be re-established.

    Aprilia reports a great year here in the US with a 66% sales increase over the previous year. I certainly helped a bit with that, having bought the Aprilia Futura and 450 RXV in 2007 and then the Caponord in late 2008. I do like the Aprilia's, the v-twin engines (from Austrian's Rotax) are powerful and have a great "attitude".

    They don't make a cruiser but checkout the 850 Mana, a naked bike with automatic transmission. Tammie rode one over the weekend and liked it.

    If you live here in the California Bay Area stop by my friends at Speeds Sports in Livermore, they take good care of their customers.
