This was the 3rd bike I bought when I got back into riding. This was a great bike too!
I bought this bike used for $3000. It had been dropped and was kinda beat up but this is how it looked after I finished fixing it up. :o)
This is the bike that I owned the longest. I bought this bike right around the time Uwe and me founded CruiserCustomizing. This was a great bike!
I owned this bike for a while also. When I moved to another state I couldn't fit it in the truck so I left it behind in the care of a good friend and he sold it for me. Thanks Kyle (manybikes)!!!
Yeah I owned one of these too. This bike was just too big for me. I sold this with less than 1000 miles on it to buy my M109R.
This is my other current bike. This thing is fun to ride!
Yeah I made it look like and XB12 with the amber wheels, amber tank badges, and I painted the swingarm the same color as the XB12's. It has an XB12 airbox, K&N filter, real carbon fiber frame covers and rear "hugger" fender. I had some other parts anodized to match the wheels. It also has a Jardine exhaust and the Buell race ECM. This bike hauls ass! ;o)
It's also for sale so if you're interested, drop me an email. It is located in Bend, Oregon.
I just bought a 2009 650 V-Star Classic. I can't wait to customize it, even though it looks pretty cool as is. My first goal is to extend the front forks approximately 8 to 10 degrees and buy a smaller front fender. Then I'm going to lower it several inches.
If and when I have the funds, I'll get a custom paint job. Purple with gold and red pinstriping. I would like to change the rear of the bike to attach a big old fat tire. I know this is going to cost a small fortune, but I figure this bike will last at least 20 years or more. So I have time.
Hey out there:
I'm looking for some feedback on a project that I'm thinking about. Please look at the 2 photos (mockups) of some lower fairings that I am considering building for my VTX 1800. The batwing fairing is already in place, and I want to enhance the appearance as well as provide for some additional wind protection for my feet and legs.
Please give me your honest feedback. If you think they look like crap, tell me so. The color/paint scheme is only one idea, I would like you to focus on the size and shape of the lowers mainly.
Please vote for either MOCKUP A, MOCKUP B, or NEITHER
Thanks in advance!

I have been complaining since I bought my bike in 2005 that I can't seam to find any accessories for my bike. Now that I have found this site I am as close to accessories heaven as I possibly can be.
I have been spending the last few days getting to know my way around this fantastic site, and I only get happier every minute. One of the great things about this site is to be able to look at the members accessories list and to read their comments. To be able to find bikes like mine and see how people have customized their rides is fantastic.
The down side to all this, if I can call it a down side, is that only few days before I found this site I had ordered some chrome on ebay, so now I have to wait at leat for few days before I can do it to my wife to order all the goodies I have found here :) I am fishing for Mackerel off the coast of Africa at the moment, and because I work for 12 hours and get 12 hours off every day I have too much free time on my hands browsing on the internet looking for some shiny parts. A part from all the little chrome accessories I just ordered I ordered Tsukayu Jumbo Hard bags with Luggage racks and Bag guards. The bags will be painted in the colors of my bike so I cant wait to see it.
I will be here until the beginning of January so it will be my wife's job to find a place in the garrage for all my new stuff. Oh I cant wait to get home to put everything on my bike :)
I have to thank all of you for making this site so interesting :)
Ride safe,
Gunnsteinn.
History has given Bowser credit for inventing the gas pump, but what Bowser tried to invent was a better way to pump water from a well. His invention wasn’t strong enough to draw water from such a depth, but when applied to shorter distances it was a success. Bowser applied his principles to small pumps that were badly needed in country stores and anywhere that kerosene was sold. This was during a time when very little gasoline was being used, as the automobile had still not been invented. The 1892 introduction of the Durea automobile and the growing popularity of automobiles brought changes to the pump industry. As gasoline sales increased following the turn of the century, Bowser built a gas pump for general stores. Bowser grew rapidly and became a very large corporation with branches all over the world. Bowser also diversified, making hundreds of products besides gas pumps. At the end of World War II, Bowser found itself in financial trouble and began offering gas pumps at lower prices.
