History has given Bowser credit for inventing the gas pump, but what Bowser tried to invent was a better way to pump water from a well. His invention wasn’t strong enough to draw water from such a depth, but when applied to shorter distances it was a success. Bowser applied his principles to small pumps that were badly needed in country stores and anywhere that kerosene was sold. This was during a time when very little gasoline was being used, as the automobile had still not been invented. The 1892 introduction of the Durea automobile and the growing popularity of automobiles brought changes to the pump industry. As gasoline sales increased following the turn of the century, Bowser built a gas pump for general stores. Bowser grew rapidly and became a very large corporation with branches all over the world. Bowser also diversified, making hundreds of products besides gas pumps. At the end of World War II, Bowser found itself in financial trouble and began offering gas pumps at lower prices.
I took the pics on my screensaver and did put some nice music....

For those of you who know me here, you remember I lost a good friend/mother in law a couple of months ago. When I'd said I was buying another bike, she's the one who went and bought me a piggy bank with the pig wearing a leather jacket. I thought it only fitting that I pay tribute to her here because of what she did. Putting this together brought all the emotions back from losing her. I've shed tears all over again reliving all the good times and even writing this about her. Kinda blows the image of big, bad biker. As I looked through pictures of her past, I discovered that not only was she beautiful inside, but was also a knockout when she was young. Just another reason why I look forward to growing old with her daughter. I hope you enjoy and that you're as lucky as I was to have known someone like her.
Thunder road at Canton Lake is a small - generally unmarked - 2 lane public access road that winds it's way from a few miles west of Longdale, OK. to the north side of Canton Dam. It is about 1 mile northwest of Canton, OK. and 19 miles southwest of Fairview Oklahoma. The road is somewhat notorious for its late night road races and parties. But, the cathedrals of cottonwoods, sprays of cattails, sumac bushes, and oak trees create a dynamic home for wild turkeys, deer, pheasants, bobwhites (quail), bobcats, eagles (including Bald Eagles), and the occasional cougar.
Hope this gives you a good laugh. Just something to sit back and go WTH!!

Were so many beautiful cars you could've taken pictures for hours. This is just a sampling of some of them. The first 2 pics of this video is the classic Chrysler of Rapid and JulieVS1100. An absolute immaculate car. The one thing this car shows is that Rapid knows how to do a classic true justice.
Poncho, Pulido, me and our better halfs took a short trip this sunday, we had meal, pool, beer, and beautiful weather, a bit of rain but only a few minutes.
