    I don't ride a Yammy but I did do the upgrade, speedsters and intake.  For what it's worth...I have an 07 Vulcan 900 and I first replaced the intake with an Arlen Ness Big Sucker.  I did notice a difference...how significant is hard to say without putting it on a machine.  Even if there were no difference I think there would be a psychological effect that would tell you there was a difference and in any case I would never go back.  Additionally, someone on a Kawi site that I was readi

    Far be it from me to contradict anyone's actual experience but I will add what I have read...(BTW, I ride a 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic with intake and exhaust mods and a fuel manager)...

    First, I understand that while Kawasaki used an O2 sensor on their European 900s they didn't consider it prudent to install them on their American models...go figure.  That being the case there is no way for the bike to sense any change in what is going on with the exhaust and adjust for it on the intake since

    One of my concerns was cost so I ended up going with the Arlen Ness Big Sucker and I am quite happy with it.  I'm not sure what the Hyper Charger could have done more for me because at this point with the Big Sucker my bike gets as much air as it can handle, IMO.  If your concern is mainly aesthetics maybe some would think the Hyper Charger looks better; different strokes...As mentioned elsewhere, gas consumption...I went from OEM (Vulcan 900) at 50-MPG to 40.5-MPG with the Big Sucker, Cobra Sp

    OEM - Initially after buying my 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic I checked my mileage quite frequently and I was getting a consistent 50 MPG.  My experience consisted of a mix between riding around town maybe at 25% and riding to and from work and highway trips at about 75%.

    My first performance upgrade was to install an Arlen Ness Big Sucker intake.  I had read on a Kawasaki blog somewhere that the Vulcan's OEM intake was like trying to suck air through a straw.  I was quite pleased with the Big Sucker and could definitely feel an improvement in performance as well as hear the difference in the way the bike sounded.  Unfortunately I was too involved in riding and had let the mileage checks slip so I have no data on mileage for the intake upgrade.

    My second performance upgrade was to install a Cobra FI2000R fuel management system and a set of Cobra Speedster Shorts which include a Power Port, Cobra's proprietary crossover technology.  Wow, I was impressed.

    OK, now it was time to check my mileage again.  Well, I knew I was going to take a hit and sure enough my first full tank check out yielded just over 40 MPG.  Was it worth it?  I did enjoy the 50 MPG but I think the trade off down to 40 MPG with the performance and sound upgrades were worth the hit.  I could do a lot worse.

    I've added a custom Gel seat, an Arlen Ness Big Sucker intake, a set of Cobra Speedster exhausts, a Cobra FI2000R fuel manager, an MC Enterprise's Hiway Crash Bar, Saddle Bags,a windshield, a Sissy Bar backrest, a PathBlazer Headlight Modulator, etc...but if push came to shove, I would have to say that the accessory that I cherish the most is my Scootworks LoRidr kit.  It allows me to get the bike to the height I need to have a good sense of control over it and that gives me great peace of mind.&nbs
