    In January of 2009, after retiring in July 2008, I decided I need to get a new motorcycle after not having one for over 10 years. I bought a Star Silverado 1700, and put 16,700 miles on it by September going on road trips.  At that point I wanted more, and went back to the brand I learned to ride on - Triumph.  I traded the Star in on a Rocket III, and I now have my dream bike.  Slowly getting her ready for my first planned road trip - June of 2010 will head for California to Ride Highway 1 along the coast from north of LA to San Francisco.

    Well all, I just couldn't wait any longer to get out and ride. 70F here today and I wasn't about to let this day slip past me without getting out on the Silverado. We have very few nice days left so hey.....need I say more? The side covers are out getting custom paint work done on them and like I said in the blog yesterday....they should be back mid week! Oh La La Hope all my family here had a fabulous weekend and Kyle, I don't know how your doing it without riding. Man I really feel for you. I go through major withdrawl and become a biotch when I can't get out!

    Hello from France.

    This comeing week end the 19 and 20 of september there will be a rally ib the town of BLAYE ( SW of France ) it is an event that has got bigger every year and I hope to get down there to get some phots and see if I can find a new or even second hand leather jacket ( style Perfecto .

    Blaye is in the Gironde, main city is Bordeaux the heart of the wine growing area as no doubt you have heard a little about Bordeaux. The other guy who rides a two wheeler with out a motor must have shown you in the states a little insight into La Belle France, after winning the Tour De France bike race ( Lance Armstrong )

    Ok next week I will see about some photos of the club, and  bikes.

    I ride a Suzuki C50 Boulevard and experienced the "scalloping" bumpy front tire treads at about the 10K mark with the Bridgestone OEMs.  Longest rides were from LA to Kansas and AZ. I thought that probably not checking tire pressure frequently was the cause.  In prep for my most recent "long ride" to Portland, OR last week, had Metzler 880's mounted @17K and they are a dream.
