This is a photo of my Magna all packed up going to Daytona's Bike Week in the spring of 2008. This is prior to most of the modification to the Magna and the new paint job. The "luggage" consists of Willie Max saddle bags, a Willie Max "Travel Trunk" on the passenger seat with a "Sissy Bar Bag" attached to each side of the Travel Trunk, and a large roll bag strapped to the luggage rack behind the back rest. I actually travel to the bike rallies instead of using a trailer to haul my bike over. It's cheating if you don't ride your bike to the rallies!
This pic of my bike 'TWNKL' was taken today, after we installed my new Willie & Max Saddlebags last night. They're mounted with easy brackets so they come off when I don't want them on. Took them out today and tested them out with general shopping, worked a treat and didn't even notice them on or the weight with stuff in them (had no idea if I would, these are a first for me). Now to practice what little I can fit in them for some serious travel!
Hello from France.
I have sorted out my problem of putting a cam on the bike, I dont need all that cable as it would only go a max of 500 metres then it would pull out of the wall. I decided to put a old Super 8 ona sholder stand and put a car battery each side bags, then found out cant get the film now. Then I thought of my Pentax as it has a video mode but my mouth is not big enough to hold it and keep the button pushed in, as the left hand is needed for the clutch and the right for the gas, I have thought long and hard and now the solution is simple FORGET IT.
Unless some one has any Idea what to use? SVP.
Keep the grey coming long and slow.
I'm in the process of picking saddlebags for my bike. We're touring interstate in November, and I want to get the bags soon, so I can get used to having them on my bike, and figure out how much girly crap I can fit in them so I don't have a heart attack the day we leave when I have to leave all my 'essential stuff' behind!
Can anyone tell me what they know about the quality of Willie and Max saddlebags? Particularly if you own a set. I'm looking at these one's: Revolution Series Throwover Belted Saddlebag.
What's important in saddlebags for me is that they're durable, that they aren't the floppy kind, that they're removable (I'm going to get a set that works with easy brackets) and that I don't have to have the yolk throwover style because I don't have a back seat on my bike - and I'm told by Willie & Max that this style have zip offs so they'll work if I zip off the yolks and have them attached to easy brackets. Looks are also important for my bike - I want to keep a classic look to my bike, and these are kinda modern but still with a classic look to them.
I've looked at K-Drive's already, hubby has been hinting at those all along, but I really don't like the shape or style of those, because there's only one shape for the Yamaha 650 Vstar.
Any advice or reviews would be appreciated! Thanks, Dim
I have a `08 Vulcan 1600 and took it to a shop to have Cobra pipes, Baron Big Air unit & Dynojet Power Commander put on. I asked about the Cobra mixer but they suggested the Dynojet. Everything was put on and great till they hooked up the Power commander and then it was the worst running bike they've seen! So after days of phone calls to Dynojet, they sent another one, and it did the same thing! After more days, they ordered a Fuel Pak from V & H. It is worst than the Dynojet!!! What do I do? They say they can't return it to Original to easily and I'm worried about the claims of the bike running to lean and internal overheating and all the comments you hear about after putting on after market pipes! Please, I need help. I'm new and the bike only has 700+ miles (not to mention my wife is getting very upset!) but a 2 day MAX job is now @ 17 days. I want my bike to ride! What do I do? Thanks in advance! Marty

Here at Cruiser Customizing there are four most popular suppliers of Motorcycle Covers and they are Dowco, Nelson Rigg, CoverMax and UltraGard. Of the four manufacturers, the CoverMax Standard Cover and the UltraGard Classic Covers are our two best selling covers.
Most cover suppliers have four basic levels of motorcycle covers and with each level the features and benefits as well as the price increases. In the case of motorcycle covers, it really is a matter of "you get what you pay for." These cover levels come by various names as you jump from manufacturer to manufacturer, but the features and benefits are usually comparable as you move up the cover level chain outlined below:
1. Dust Cover 2. Economy Cover 3. Deluxe Cover 4. Premier Cover
Here are the level breakdown for each of our four top suppliers:
Dowco Guardian: Value Cover, Deluxe Cover, & WeatherAll Plus Cover
Nelson Rigg: Econo Cover, Deluxe Cover, Defender 2000 Cover
CoverMax: Standard Cover, Deluxe Cover
UltraGard: DustGard, Classic Cover, Classic II Cover, & Premier Cover
Below you will find some basic motorcycle cover features to look for when choosing your next cover. All of these features and benefits will be listed in the motorcycle cover product description on the product page.
