In January of 2009, after retiring in July 2008, I decided I need to get a new motorcycle after not having one for over 10 years. I bought a Star Silverado 1700, and put 16,700 miles on it by September going on road trips. At that point I wanted more, and went back to the brand I learned to ride on - Triumph. I traded the Star in on a Rocket III, and I now have my dream bike. Slowly getting her ready for my first planned road trip - June of 2010 will head for California to Ride Highway 1 along the coast from north of LA to San Francisco.

When I went to purchase my Silverado the first thing I did before even brining her home was had them change my pipes to the Vance & Hine cruisers and rejet. Also while looking at her on the sales floor I'm thinking of all the things I want to change...add or do with her. So of course they had to order the pipes and the jet kit so it gave me a few days to think of more things to do or purchase. I have to say I've changed...added...taken off and now looking for a artist to do some work on my side covers. My question to all of you here on the community is this....When you purchase a bike, do you purchase it with the intention of leaving it stock or do you, like myself look at it and think of what your going to change or what accessories you will add? I look forward to hearing your replies! ~Vstargrl~
Today we finally had a pretty nice day. When I came home from work nobody was home so out came the Silverado and away I went. It was a bit chilly by the time I got out but I will tell you........It was well worth the chill. That ride was well overdue and I sure hope to get out again soon. (*Like tomorrow*)
Winter is coming quick and I'm not looking forward to it. Hope everyone is having a good week
Yeahhhhh baby, got out on the Silverado again today! Man I only hope to get many more sunny dry days. Cold is ok, no rain though!
I thought I would share another ride with you guy's and gal's on an awesome fall day!!!

Haven't leanded a bike in 27 years. The last bike I owned was a 74'Honda CB750. Going to by (Brand NEW)2008' Yamaha V-Star 1100 Silverado (RED). Had to redo MC license also. Already passed written test after 2nd time. Big test next (road test) or just take the ABATE classes. Going to Red Wing, MN. to pick up bike in a couple weeks (I Hope.) 53 now 3 heart attacks and a SINGLE by-pass. Diabeties w/ Insuline (no fun.) Haven't worked in 5 years now. On Med. Retirment / SSI. Planning a road trip to Orlando, Fl. To see a friend I haven't seen in 34 years. Guess where he works (Hint: he's a King and rides in on a Horse for his entrance, you got it Disney World.) Then wait out the winter I guess. Next Spring and Summer going out west to see other friends that I haven;t seen in 30 years plus. Starting in the SW and heading to California. Got a brother in Oregon and one in NY (Long Island.) Don't want anything to do with NY traffic though. Send some pics after I get the new BIKE... See Ya.
